The big screens have moved from the walls to the table!
Even if your favorite restaurant does not offer big screen media devices on the wall, you have not escaped the presence of media device interfering with your dining experience. There are now tabled sized screen devices to individually serve patrons tables and options to offer kids unlimited video gaming options as they munch down a meal without interfacing with the rest of the people you are eating a meal with.
Of course, while it’s on the table and running, why not stream pictures of yummy desserts and other ads they can get your eyes to check out instead of continuing the conversation with the person across the table from you. It appears you can also watch other Internet streaming options from the little device as well. Just what we all need in case we didn’t get enough screen time at home!
Here is an article about that new option. I guess for kids gaming, they tack on a $1.00 surcharge on to your bill to get them dis-engage in conversation at the table.
